Hi everybody. I finally got a fairly accurate length and weight measurement of my P. brongersmai. Almost exactly 7 ft. long and about 32 lbs. She's (I think its a she) just over 4 years old. I was hoping to compare her size to others her age.

About sexing, I don't know how to probe so I won't do it, but looking at the post anal region, there are definite gaps on either side of the vent, but really no spur to speak of. Is this a good indication of a female?

I had one that was 5-6 years old, 7' and 41 lbs. Just sold her though.

What sort of feeding regime did you follow after the fourth year?

I was feeding her 2 jumbo rats every 10-14 days for years. I found out on the forum that over feeding bloods wasn't healthy and won't live as long, so I switched up to 1-2 jumbo rats every month. She wasn't so plumped anymore. I kind of liked her fat but atleast I save some money on food.

Dave Barker was paticularly emphatic at Daytona that Bloods should NOT be round, but triangular. The top of the spine is used to anchor muscles that make bloods exremely strong constrictors. The top of the vertebrae should stick up higher in bloods more than any other python.
