Hello. I have a pond in my back yard and there are currently three frogs living in it. Two of the frogs we bought at a local pond store and the other one is a native Northen Leopard Frog that found its way to the pond by itself. I'm not yet sure what kind of frogs the store bought ones are but I think they are some type of bull frog. The frogs are all about the same size, maybe 3 inches in length.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on wether or not it would be a good idea to winter these frogs inside in an enclosure. I know that it is not necessary to winter them inside as they can take care of themselves but I wouldnt mind trying it. Also, we have had several other frogs in the pond over the past 2 years and I dont think any of them survived the winter.(I live in Colorado and the winters can be fairly harsh.)
I do have experience with frogs so caring for them and provinding them with a good environment wouldn't be a problem.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
-Thanks, Ross
