Going Value of Desert Ghosts??

tristan Nov 28, 2008 02:43 PM

I'm trying to gauge the investment value of this morph. What do you guys think the fair value is for a

Breedable male desert ghost?
Het males?
Het females?

Do you think that they're a better investment than the codom/dom deserts? I think they are since they are a recessive trait.

Anyone on these forums working with them? I'd like to know how your projects are going.

Thanks

Not easy to value a morph that is not abundant on the market, any Desert Ghost will hold value much longer then dominant Deserts.

I'd go for the Desert Ghost, the dominant Desert will be a dime a dozen within a few years.

I've seen them for sale from the Bell's and PP for $6,500 for 600 grams animals. Male and female.

are deserts dom or co-dom?

Deserts are either codom or dom, it should be proven soon if they have a super form or not.

But I agree with medusah's statement on desert ghosts being a safer investment than the deserts.... since deserts are codom/dom, people with males will be able to produce visuals sooner than not.

Thanks I love him to death, as for what he is I have no clue? No one that has seen him has ever seen a ball like him. I bought him as a captive hatch and his yellow is insane and his blacks are like ink and he has a white belly. This will be his first year being bred so we will see if its genetic this year unless its a recessive. As for being a desert ghost I don't think he is cause he is so yellow.
