I was just wondering if anybody here has ever raised their rats outdoors like in a big tub filled with substrate on their partialy enclosed front porch? Is it possible or will the freeze to death? thanks matt

If the Temps get below 45 deg. Production drops way off. Also Rats on a front porch. My neighbors know I have snakes but they don't know I have rats. Yours might not like it either. Just my two cents. Claude
they won't work......as mentioned, breeding will slow,,,,and the real trouble will be that to keep them warm, the inside of the cage will sweat and stay way too wet for them, bedding will be wet ,like daily or even in a few hours....also the water bottles will freeze and stop working, and thus the rats will die....
been there done that.....LOL
