I was wondering where do you place your probes for your controllers? Directly on the heat tape or in one of the bins?

Personally I dummy out one of my bins and take temps 1 cm above the bin and the surface of the bin. With the probe for my controller directly on the bin floor between the heat tape. Using a temp gun and three probes to check the actually temp of my spot.

I put mine directly on the heat tape, but then I also use a separate electric temp probe in the middle bin of the middle shelf.
