Sunday morning pictures...

Ghireptiles Nov 30, 2008 11:57 AM

Just some stuff I snapped this morning...

This one just shed and has some black flecks appearing!

This photo is a little dark and she is much brighter than is shown.

One pairing I am really looking forward to this season is a couple of my '06 calico red hots. I have four of them from three different litters and I know the big one is a girl so I just have to see which of the other animals are males.

Female

Hopeful Male

Nice stuff! The tiger in the top photos; that's the only tiger I've seen with the tiger patterning being cluttered up with pattern. Have you seen this in any others?

I haven't seen this before besides in these. The first two pics are actually two different animals that are siblings. They are from a tiger x candycane breeding so I am guessing this is where the calico speckling comes from. They are also the only tigers I have ever seen where the striped pattern doesn't get jumbled up by the head...these are just like rosy boas with solid unobstructed striping to the back of the head. All tigers have the pattern that fills in the striping behind the head so I don't know why these came out like this...

I think I recognize one of them (the 5th photo, I think it was) as a really strange looking baby that you produced a couple of years ago. Maybe one of the others was from that year too. I think I remember you posting at least 3 babies from that year that were really cool! Can't wait to see what they produce.

Sure would like to get over to see them in person one of these days - some of those "red hots" you have posted over the last couple of years must be mind blowing in person, lol!

They pretty much look like they do in the pics with the exception of some flash issues every once in awhile. The animals in the 5th and 6th pics are siblings and I have all of the other colored offspring with the exception of one male that I gave to a friend to raise. All of the babies are calicos so it will be exciting to see what comes from the breedings. I am also really excited about the calico red hot breedings because I think I've got a good chance of making more calico red hots.

Very very cool. Its so fun to see the different things the polymorphic croud is working on. The imagination just has no limit. Certainly not like a ball python. I wonder if I will get 3 of these or only 2 this year?

Wow Matt!!!
I really am speechless.
I can't wait to see what they produce.
I have got my fingers crossed for you, as I wish you the best of luck.
Not that you need it but it can't hurt.
Take care
