Our bearded dragons tail is turning black. Just the last third of his tail. I started noticing it yesterday. Should I be concerned?

yes.

A tail going black usually means unshed skin is blocking circulation. Try soaking for 20 minutes or so and use a face cloth and gently rub the tail down towards the tip in an effort to remove the unshed skin.

If there is an actual kink or swelling area it may be an injury that is causing the tail to die.

It could just be a dirty tail too, but soaking should remove any dirt, unless its really caked on, then a soft toothbrush can be used to gently brush off dirt.

Could just be stress too..

Is his beard black? and spots on the belly?

Males will darken thier beard and tail when "In the mood"

OR just realy Pissed off, any thing in the cage bothering your dragon, is there a cage mate to fight with?

Also when a dragon is sick or dehydrated you will see darkening of the tail also..

Just some thoughts, but of course if it worsens you may need a trip to the vet..

Try the soaking and mist throughout the day if the humidity is low in the tank. This should help with shedding. I have also read that if your dragon is under stress or their metabolism is affected (by diet, stress, improper husbandry conditions like temps etc)...this sometimes causes the end of the tail to darken and appear black.
If it persists and it is not a shedding issue, check all of your tank conditions and keep notes in case you have to go to the vet. The more info you can give them about their eating and sleeping pattern along with the frequency and consistency of going to the bathroom will all help your vet if you end up having to make an appointment.
One thing I have learned is the more info you can give, the better off you are.
Good Luck and keep us posted!
