Anyone want to speculate...

stevenxowens792 Dec 01, 2008 02:35 PM

Anyone want to speculate on the price of gas for the Spring/Summer of 09? Will it still be under 2 bucks?

Curious to hear everyone's thoughts.

Best Wishes,

Steven X

I think it will, from what I understand it was the investors trading in futures that drove the price through the roof. With the bailouts and everything else they seemed to have backed down on things.

At least that is my understanding of things boiled down a bit.

i sure as heck hope NOT, i wouldnt mind seeing the price of oil like it was in june/july....it wouldnt have anything to do with haveing some oil leases?....mabey....screw green peace, this things cutting into my obscene profits (not really, there just down) the thing is it TAKE alot of money to MAKE alot of money, the power bill on some of my leases is well over $10k/month.

OPEC meets in December 16th, where Saudi Arabia said "We think that the fair price for a barrel of oil is $90" they are planning to cut production starting just in time for christmass by 1 million to 1.5 million barrels per day, this will make oil in the $75/barrel range.

I dont like high gas prices eigther, they suck, but tell ya what West Texas is sure weathering the ressession better than most, so is the Dakota's, Colorado, Utah, Montanna, Wyoming, Florida, and anywhere else they have found oil in america.

next thing to go up? Electricty prices, expected to almost doubble next year, so watch your backs boys and girls...or tell them to bite you and buy into some windpower/solar power. Im designing my new reptile house, rodent facility and bird breeding areas to be 'green' for no other reason than just hate bills.

Gas may average under $2.00 across the country in the spring, but add another .40 - .70 per gallon in the Big Bend region. That said, it would be a great improvement over last year.
I'm a little more interested in the ability to road hunt next year. Anyone care to speculate on that?

I will. Unless herpers get busy (involved) and reach deep in their pockets to fund the fight then no way in Hades it's going to happen. I see too many sitting on their hands while a few do all the legwork and lobbying. No pay no play, that is how this game works.

Have you contacted your State Representative and Senator lately? Did you contribute to the reelection campaign and let them know what concerns you and how you expect them to vote when the issue comes up? Did you contribute directly to a lobbying fund to get the law changed? Did you join any groups dedicated to fighting the law and renew your dues?

These are are the things everyone needed to be doing. Spread the word and get it done.
