Need some Help. Mine so scared we have yellow fungus..

Im scared my Rex has yellow fungus..He is acting normal and eating very well..His habits really haven't changed. He has never been treated with any antibotics and is parasite free. i have just notice that he has a yellow ting to the top of his tailonly about an inch aliitle on his back thighs. and alittle over his ears and top of his head. i have looked at the articleon this fungus and i would not say this looks like what is in the pictures on the site, he has no yellow at all on his stomach or in his vent area and his poo is normal. He has not shed in quite some time. thee spots are not blotchy but more of a discoloration. I have noticed yellow in him before and we have no idea what color his parents were. All his temps are optium and he eats lots of greens and has the right lighting. are there any other tell tale signs of this. and suggestions would help. im going to put a call in to the vet. .I should also add he's never been around another dragon..thanks again..

Try giving him a bath and see if the yellow washes off, epsecially around the base of his tail. Use a mild soap, diluted in water, with a soft toothbrush to gently scrub the area. It could be stains from his poo on his tail or old skin that never shed off properly.

the yellow on his head and neck area may just be natural skin colour. A vet check can't hurt though.

Another thing it could be is dye from food. Do you feed him shredded carrots or coloured pellets? The food dyes in these two things can cause the staining you are describing. It will also be easier to tell if you took some pictures and posted them here.

ok im going to try the bath this evening . he ate his supper and seems to be feeling fine. i just looked up his las shed and it was over 4 months ago. I forgot to mention he has no sores of any type like they show in the article.
