is 66% just as good as a 50%

It is 16% better. There is just a better chance that the snake would be het for whatever you are looking at.

Either way the snake can end up a normal, but your chances are improved with the 66%. Look at it this way: with a 50% odds are 1 out of two. With a 66% odds are 2 out of three. I'd go with a 66%!

It's either a het or it's not -- one just has slightly better odds of being one.
