What are the temps in the cage?? They will definitely do that if the temps are too low for them to digest the meal. Was the meal too large? Could be a number of things but these two come to mind.
It could also regurgitate if it is stressed............you're not supposed to handle them after they eat until about 24 hours has passed.
Some snakes may feel stressed during shedding and may regurgitate then.
As mentioned, proper temperatures enable the food to be digested in the first place.

Make sure your father waits up to 2 weeks before feeding it again, otherwise he can really jeopardize the health of the snake

I had two WC Mt. Kings regurg this week. My first thought was to increase temps.

The snake in the top photo only likes FT brain gooed pinkies and the one in photo two will only take pinks hand fed.
Both of these snakes have held food down in the past few weeks.

There are many things that can make a "snake" regurgitate. But first we need to know what ind of snake (you never mentioned. For instance rosy boas will regurge if they have water in their cage and they drink right after eating or right before. But I agree the most likely cause is temps being to cool. Can you give more info like the size of the snake, cage size and what heat source you are using. Do you change the water bowls frequently. Snakes pick up flagellates from water bowls...
1) what species snake?
2) cage size and heating source (temps of cool and hot end would be helpful)
3)what did you feed the snake?
4)How often do you change the water bowls?
If the snake regurged because of cool temps that is not a problem and you don't have to wait for 2 weeks for another feeding. Just turn up the heat and feeed right away.
if the snake regurged because of flagellates (or other parasites) then wait 2 weeks and feed.
purchase a bottle of a product called Nutribac. Works wonders for snakes that regurge as this product replenishes helpful bacterial entities that may be lost in that process of regurgitation.
By the way, we're still waiting for responses as to the conditions this snake is under. Help us help you...

So I am confused. I thought that any regurge would cause the loss of enzymes and bacteria, yet BR suggests that you re-feed if the regurge was caused by temperature? I am not disputing that, I just want to know for my own benefit.
