Kinda bizarre

tsugeckogirl Dec 02, 2008 10:18 PM

I know this question is going to sound slightly bizarre, but I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of one leopard gecko eating another leopard gecko?

Yes, I have actually had it happen to me. When I first got into leos years ago, I had hatched out some babies. The babies were maybe a week old, and I had put one of them in with the mother and father for a few minutes so I could do some cage maintenence.
I went back to get it, and caught the male leo eating the baby. It was too late to save it though.

Yes I had that happen to me this year for the first time. I had put a hatchling in with a few that were 2-3 weeks old and when i went to get it out it was gone and I saw the bulge in on of the others that were in with it. So be careful. BTW I had fed the gecko's about 2 hours prior to me puting in the hatchling in and it was only about an hour later that it was gone.
