Ghost, anery and snow

danmurison Dec 03, 2008 06:08 PM

Hi guys, My friend had these two pop out of a triple het clutch. The question is, is it a ghost or a clean anery? Oh and is it better to have a hatchling snow that you can slightly see the tangerine bands or not? Im buying an anery and snow from him so need to know. Thanks, Danny

The pink on that Snow should improve over time and the bands that are now white will become yellow. This can take a year or so to really show up, but when it does they look great.

My snow hasn't yellowed yet...so I'm not sure if they all turn or not?

My "snow" could be a triple or quad homozygos...only test breeding will tell for sure.

Also, the "snow" from that triple het clutch has a 25% chance of being a triple homozygos animal...and a 50% chance het for Hypo...that leaves the other 25%, which it would be just a plain "snow".

Basically the odds are in your favor...hope you have a hypo or ghost to pair with it!

Good luck!

Yes, some of them do stay pink and white for the most part. I think the one in question will yellow with age unlike the guy in this picture.

Loving these snows guys. The snow and anery i am buying both come from an anery to anery pairing both triple het. I will pair the snow with a hypo vanishing pattern triple het from an extreme clutch and the anery to my ghost triple het. I am now looking to buy some extreme or mega line at hamm this month. Anyone going? Regards, Danny
