when i was feeding my bp today, i noticed a small dent in his left eye...but after his hearty meal, it was gone. He actively eats, drinks, soaks, and is what I consider very healthy...but I know i wasnt seeing anything either...has anyone out there ever noticed something like that? i mean, i checked him when i put him back up and you couldnt even tell where it had been...kinda crazy huh?

Usually this is a sign of dehydration, but you said all the husbandry and everthing is good, so I cant think of what else it could be. If it went away, I dont think its anything to worry about.

I'm sure this was just a minor bit of dehydration. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Rodents have liquid that helps hydrate them (especially if you thaw them in water) which I'm sure is the reason the dent went away. If you notice it coming back, either give her a spray down or soaking in a rubbermaid with a couple inches of water, just for an hour or so. Good luck, Scott.

but would it be rehydrated within say 5 minutes after ingestion? i only feed prekilled(he hates f/t) so it didnt have any water on it's fur. However, as soon as I put drago back in his cage I misted and he began to soak the water off of the cage carpet and soon after went straight to his water bowl. I guess he was thirsty...
