I dont know what everyone else is getting, but the colors in that picture are real bad. Its hard to tell if that snake is an amel, just a light brown or any color inbetween. One thing for sure, its motley

Indeed, it is either ultra or ultramel motley.

That has to be one of the strangest looking ultra's or ultramels out there. I will side with Dons judgement, because I can't tell what the hell it is..

DonSoderberg Dec 05, 2008 06:36 PM

It's virtually identical to all of mine. Really.

he has a lot more white than any ultra that I've seen that's my biggest reason for asking. i got him from a fairly reliable breeder in Colorado as a surplus b grade.

jyohe Dec 06, 2008 11:43 AM

looks ultramel to me....or ultra....

....the first ultras I got were REALLY frosted...white speckling all over......actually the one is still here....

Bad year for snake sales, the whole economy crash thing.
Thus - many breeders are selling snakes are selling for less.

Breed him to several snows and maybe he is het for anery and if he is Ultra and you'll have 40 or 50 Ultramels and a few Ultramel anery. Maybe you'll get $15 apiece for them. You bought him for $25 from a reputable breeder, so next year a wholesaler will be offering you $15 for the offspring if you're lucky.

IF you are lucky.......

....this year was worse.........

...dealers buy "corns" and don't care what the genetics are....

one price fits all......
