Opinions on Ackies and other "Dwarfs"

helena1 Dec 05, 2008 10:17 AM

So, as i have stated, I have two Savs. One is nearly an adult and the other is still young. I was think of trying a different monitor at some point and you guys are the experts. An Ackies is high on my list, though they really are tiny.

I really love the look of some of the learger species like waters but i am not going to kid myself, I do not have room or enough of a food supply. Instead i am also very fond of the look of mangroves and blue tails. Do you guys think i am ready for any of these species after having both of my Savs kept happy for a fair period of time?

I like the Argus and Peach Throats a LOT

i just want your opinions or pictures!

Don't worry, ther's glass in between them. (and no, he does not live in a glass aquarium, i promise)

Ackies are great, they are smaller sized, active, have attitude, but wont put you in the hospital.
The best species as far as size, attitude, and being on the average docile, is the storrs monitor. They are neat little lizards, are smaller yet than ackies, they are built like a tank, and are tough.
Ackies are great captives.
