RE: Blackhead Morph?

Winston Dec 05, 2008 01:33 PM

I recently purchased a collection of snakes from a rather wealthy individual. I guess it was just a phase for him because he didn't seem to know much about Husbandry. Anyway, Can someone tell me how to post pics on the forum. Reason i am asking is because included in the sale were 1.2 adult BHPS. The male is extremely high yellow with thin Black bands. When i say yellow and black i am talking about the color of a great looking Jungle Carpet. I almost fell over when i saw it. He said he got it from Germany. As i mentioned, i would like to share a pic of it and get some feedback on it. Don't know if it is genetic because he never bred it. He is 6 years old and about 7 feet. The 2 females are phenominal also. How do i post pcs?

Does it look something like these?

They're much more yellow in person. Can't seem to capture yellow with my camera very well.
Cheers,
D.

The two adult females i purchased are very similar to the pics Derek Roddy posted. They are a somewhat brighter yellow then his but the yellow in his did not show up as well as they probably look in person so they are likely about the same. The adult male however blows away my females. It is as yellow as the Jungle Carpet Python on the cover of the book "Pythons of Australia" by the Barkers. All three apparently came from the same clutch which is why i think there is something Genetic going on. Won't know till i breed them. Sorry for not posting pics yet but my photo software can't get the pics small enough. I am going to a friends house next week and try to use his camera and computer to post pics. Hope it works.

That is the plan. They are showing good breeding activite right now. Can't wait to see what the babies will look like providing the breeding is successful.

Winston, you can get a free account at Photobucket.com and upload them there and then use the third option for links below each pic to post them here in the text of a message. Just copy and paste the link in the text and put a space before and after each link. Photobucket will resize the pics automatically if you want it to. You can also use the pics all over instead of just here.

Thanks for the info. about posting pics. I didn't know Photo Bucket was free or that there is a website which shrinks pics.I am what you would call computer challenged. Can't wait to show everybody the pics. Not bragging, but make sure your socks are on tight because these Yellow BHPS are going to blow your socks off as they did mine LOL.

Thanks for the offer Tom. My Buddy is a computer whiz and a very good photographer. He is going to help me post the pics this week hopefully. His pics always capture exactly what the amimal or object look like in person.
