Does anyone here know if a 80 watt Reptile Basics RHP would fit on the right side of a Vision #422 cage (long side of the panel to fit front to back of the cage, short panel sides parallel to front and back of cage)? This panel is listed as “approximately” 12.5"x22.5"x1.75". The ceiling space available on the Vision cage is only 22” from the back to the front top lip, but there is an additional space behind the lip of at least 1-1/4” that might allow for the housing on the RHP to fit.
I was considering trying out some of these panels for use in one of my colder rooms, but was surprised to see that the two largest sizes (120 watt and 160 watt) are 32.5” and 42.5” long respectively. That kind of rules them out for easy mounting in even the 54" or 6' Vision cages due to their lack of flat ceilings.
I'd also appreciate any feedback from people who have purchased these panels. Have they worked well for you? Do they seem solidly constructed? Can you make any comparisons to the ProProducts RHPs?
Thanks for your help.
