Some BRBs and an OT

brick1 Dec 05, 2008 11:02 PM

First off, daddys little girl. Just turned a year old, and only 72 grams. I have tried everything, she poops fine, shed today for the first time in like 3 months, is always flicking her tongue, likes to be out exploring and seems perfect in everyway, except she is a vegetarian and refuses food. She has eaten by herself on some occasions, and is also assist fed sometimes. I havent force fed her yet, and that will be a last result. I guess there are some that are maybe just never meant to make it, but she giving it a good shot.

my 06 mike lockwood het hypo, after having a rat for dinner, is opaque at the moment, but i still love the look of him.

and 3 extras taking up rack space

I assume you've tried all the various types of feeders on daddy's little girl? mice/rats, various sizes, various colors, birds etc. She looks good, I know my amber was a picky eater as a youngster then about 2 - 2 1/2 years old she decided rats were pretty tasty and never looked back. Now at 3 1/2 years old is in the breeding progrem.

Your male het looks plenty big enough to breed, do you have a ready and willing mate for him?

BCI's huh? You know those will get larger than BRB's and take up more space!!

yeah everything been tried dave, and even a day old live pinkie seems to scare her we will just have too see with her.

As for the bci's, they came along with the anery brb group. The guy threw in 10 for me, so have just been selling them on here where i live. Only 5 left though, and hoping they get swapped out with a couple of royals for 2 adult brbs from sweden.

As for the het hypo, he is a late O6, but i think the size is a bit deceptive. He only at 850 grams, thats why i was surprised about aanata1's hypo, as they came from the same clutch. Im in no hurry though, i feel im not in a position to find home for all the babies yet, so will be holding out everything till next year. Even then, im not sure what he will be paired with, his girlfriend is an 07 so has a while. And im really not keen on producing on poss hets.

We will see i guess. I do like his his colour and pattern though. Ah i dunno now.
