There are no real ways to tell a het from a normal other than breeding.. though there are some exceptions...Yellow Bellies are the only ball pythons I know that are indications of a het ivory snake... the het pied marker is inconsistent so I don't consider it a guarantee marker, better to just buy a 100% het pied from a reliable source.

That said, your snake looks like a really greyed out in shed normal or axanthic...
