What is the best way to obtain...

What is the best way to obtain indoor climbing furniture for my croc monitor. I have an entire room for him during the winter time and would like to find a nice log, branch, or other type of climbing furniture for him. I have found some good large branches for his outdoor enclosure from the woods near my home, but I don't want to bring them inside?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Go cut down a tree or find some large logs someplace. Either that or go buy some 2x4s and plywood and build some platforms with ramps to climb.

Home Depot has non treated round landscape timbers that are about 6" in diameter and 8' long. They look more "natural" than 2x4s etc. if that's what your after.

Thanks! Those are both good ideas.

Try to find old dead trees wherein you can peel off huge chunks of bark slabs. You get the climbing surface without all the wasted space and massive weight of a solid log. That's what I do.
