Who has bread BIG stuff for feeders?

Skyetone Dec 07, 2008 10:59 PM

I breed rats, mice, gerbils, ASF, hamsters, ext. I have three seven foot red tails, a 8 foot berm, and have customers with that and bigger. I can get feeder rabbits of good quality for $5 a LB. not bad. I have tried to raise and breed them, they cost more than that in a couple weeks LOL. I have issues getting the rabbits on a regular basis. Are there "local" breeds of rats that grow to be 2-3 lbs regularly? I can't seem to keep my "holders" long enough to barely get large let alone jumbo. a few of my male breeders are big, but I only rotate out a couple time a year. Has anyone bread bigger rodents that are still "cost effective" but would feed a berm?

there is a very simple equation for this. .22 solid bullets X cottontails / freezer for a couple weeks = free food for large animals (the equation also works with jackrabbits, but freeze them for a minimum of 6 weeks) if your snake ever gets long enough i guess homeless people or liberals would be a good substitute, although i imagion it would be hard to convince them to get into the cage without there clothes....
