tub size and when to uprade?

xXBloodRed Dec 08, 2008 12:28 PM

hey folks!
Getting my first retic tomorrow (baby 26-34" and have a 74 qt tub set up for him. Some people say that it may be too large, but I made sure to place plenty of things in to make him feel secure. I was wondering if my next upgrade will have to be a large custom built cage, or if I will be able to move up to a larger tub size? If the later, at what length/age would you recommend doing so? In other words, how quickly will it outgrow the 74 qt when on an every 5 day feeding schedule?
thanks!

depends on the sex, I keep my male purple in a 6'x2'x2' he's about 7-8ft and 2 years old; also I got a female lav. albino tiger from prehistoric pets around May of 08 about the same size as yours and she's about 6ft long and in a 4' cage for a couple more months. If you have the room and are able to build a custom cage I would if not I keep my 14ft burms in a 8'x3'x2' animal plastics cage and know someone who has 2 17ft female retics who keeps them in the same cage.
