Hello everyone,

It has been a while since I have posted here. I used to frequent this forum every day. Over the last year my life changed dramatically. I got married, was in a bad car wreck and had a baby. All of those things plus my senior year in college have severely limited my free time. Now that things are starting to settle down a bit, as calm as they can be with a three week old daughter, I'm going to start contributing to the forum again. Here are some updated pictures for those of you who remember me, and some new ones for those of you who don't.

Elvis being curious with the baby's stroller when I first put it together.

And Elvis being skeptical, a constant state for him since we brought Alexa home.

She is great. I haven't had any strikes for a couple of months now and my wife is no longer afraid to hold her. It didn't take her long to calm down, she just had to grow a little and get used to me.

Pretty snakes, to be sure. One question though, and it of course in no way detracts from the coolness of the snake, but do you know if your JCP is a pure JCP or a cross? I only ask because the pattern and coloration somewhat remind me of my brother's coastal. Of course, Jungles are quite variable, so it could just be that I haven't seen one like that before, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Here's hoping that all is well with you, and that I haven't given any offense by asking about your snake's family history.

No offense taken at all. As far as I know she is a pure JCP. I bought her from a local breeder that had gotten both her parents as pure JCPs, but there's always the chance that somewhere along the line there was some mix breeding. Honestly it doesn't bother me if there was. I think she is a great looking snake with a really good pattern. Plus I don't have any plans to breed her so it doesn't make a difference that way either.

Hey Tim, welcome back but I'm confused. How the heck do you think you'll have more time to frequent the forum with a three week old? I was a zombie when my kids where that small, waking up every couple of hours and needing diaper changed and fed. Yeah, my wife did the feeding but I did what I could to help.

Anyways, looking forward to seeing you posting again!!!

0.2 kids (CBB, a big part of our selective breeding program)

LOL, to many snakes to list, last count:
26.49 BRB
20.21 BCI
And those are only the breeders

lots.lots.lots feeder mice and rats

Yeah I am pretty much sleep walking through my days right now. But the end of the semester is only a week away and my daughter has started sleeping more consistently, if you can call four hours at a time consistent.

In reality Alexa has taken all of my hobbies, like working out and running, away from me for the time being and I just want something to do. So my plan is to pop in to the forum while she is being fed. Hopefully this works or I may lose my mind

Yeah, you are coming up on a sweet time, when they start sleeping 6 hours at a time. Both of my kids did that around 6 weeks old, felt great to finally get more than a couple of hours of sleep at a time.
