Sperm retention??

THESNAKEDEN Dec 09, 2008 09:05 PM

Alright love reading forums but dont post much. Had to ask about this one. My big 02 albino was with a DH sun male who was actively courting her back in early Oct for about 10 days. Never witnessed cop but he did get the job done twice last year. So he is def capable. This girls been acting weird the last two weeks sort of coiled in heat coil position(hcp. Refused food last week and was obviously into a shed cycle. Well today she shed and is piled on top of herself and also just refused food. This girl has never refused a meal in the two years Ive owned her. The question is could she have retained sperm from early oct and ovulated in mid to late Nov(must have missed) and could this be a POS? Has anybody had sperm retention scenario.
Here is a pick from an hour ago after she shed and refused small meal.
What do you think??

May also be an ovulation with no fertilization.

i had a female that was bred by a male in Dec 06...she slugged out in Feb "08" with only one premie...that male had been with her just 2 days!! Either she retained sperm 10 months before she ovulated, or she kept those slugs in her 300 days past her supposed parturition date. I"m thinking she retained.

She could have taken and it is not a given. This could just be the ovulation and that being said I would put the male back in to make sure the job is done. You do not want a big pile of slugs and putting the male back in will/should make sure this does not happen. In my opinion it is better safe than sorry!!! Just my opinion though here and you know what the say about that.....
