SPAZZ May 24, 2003 08:23 AM

HELLO WORLD. I AM FAIRLY NEW TO THIS NET THING SO BEAR WITH ME.I HAVE JUST BOUGHT MYSELF A FRILLED DRAGON,AFTER DOING SOME RESERCH. I HAVE A BUNCH OF QUESTIONS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN FOUND ON THE NET. 1) I BELEVE MY DRAGON IS A MALE(LONGER FRILLS)HE IS STILL YOUNG IF I WERE TO BUT A FEMALE WOULD THIS GUY NOT TAKE TO KINDLY TO HER. 2) LIKE BEARDIES DO FRILLED DRAGONS FAIR BETTER IN GROUPS. 3) I BELEVE THE DRAGON IS FROM N.G., IF YOU WERE TO FIND ONE FROM ELSE WARE ARE THEY COMPATABLE(NOT FOR BREEDING). 4)BEING AN ABORIAL REPTILE,IS IT A MUST TO HAVE A HEATING PAD UNDER THE TANK(HE HAS NEVER SLEEPT ON THE GROUND). 5) I HAVE GOOD LIGHTING FOR HIM, BUT IN OTHER PEOPLE'S OPINION WHICH IS THE BEST ( I HEARD INDOOR PLANT LIGHTS ARE OK, BUT I AM NOT USING THOSE)
HOPE SOMEONE OUT THERE COULD REPLY
THANKS
SPAZZ

I do not know about keeping them in groups. I got my pair when they were a month old and kept them togather for a long time. After a while though, one would chase the other around, and the on being chased started rubbing her nose on the glass so I sepreated them and they are both doing great. As for lighting, I would do a heat lamp as well as a uvb bulb such as a repti sun 5.0. Personaly I use the active uv heat bulbs and think they make a diffrence. Later, Jacob.
