Fed my jungle carpet today. They said he was big enough for rat pinkies and has already been eating f/t. So why not.. it's better to get them on rats early. so..
Rat pinkie attempt #1. gripped by back of neck with tongs, made it run around him 2x and by the second time he was already alert and tasting the air. then i pulled away and wam.. bite, grip, twist and after abotu 30-45 seconds.. he began swallowing, it looked big but it wasn't much bigger than his midsection. just his neck...
30 seconds later, it's in his belly...
amazing how uneventful it was=)
but that's good too.. so i know he's a good eater.. again, till next wed.
