6 qt baby rack question

Thinking on making a melamine hatchling rack with the sterilite 6qt tubs and using back heat either 3 or 4 inch heat tape.Wanted opinion on people using them till what size in grams do you keep them before its too congested.Also if you have any pics it would be great.
