Update on a few pairs I have going.(DUW)

robertmcphee Dec 10, 2008 10:36 PM

Here are some of the latest pairs around here....I was trying to keep the pairings to the minimum this year....I guess I let all the excitement get to me!
Things have really been falling into place around here. If half of the parings I have together produce I will be a lucky dude......anyway....

Thanks Amie...

Do you have anything spectacular going on with any of your Nics??
I could use some more captive bred and born blood....
Keep me posted!

I have two Nic pairings this season. I've got my female hypo paired with a high red male. She produced awesome red babies with my het T Nic this year....I'm hoping for screaming red babies if this pairing works out. :D

The other pairing is my Type 2 female and a wierd color (more like colorless) male...not much action going on this year. She gave me a great display of cloacal gaping within 5 minutes of introduction.

I'm hoping to produce some super Hypo Hogs this year.

And I've got my high red Colombian male in with my Fineline female. They've been going at it like rabbits since October.

That's it for this year.....keeping it small

Hey Bob, looking good!!!

Question for ya, in your pics I see at least three different substrates. Brown craft, paper towel and chip......why?? I'm sure there is some rhyme and reason, just wondering. (I like to pick other peoples brains for ideas)

Funny you should ask, and very astute observation....lol

Actually this year has been a year of experimentation...as I was not really trying to break any records this season as far as numbers of animals that I produced. I actually was not planning on having this many pairs together....but--none the less they are together.
So....
I figured that this year I will get out of my comfort zone of how I do things and try some new things and keep notes on how things went....It has been a fun yet daunting task as I already have two notebooks of results....lol!

Basically, I just had a lot of question...that nobody could or wanted to answer, so I am learning by doing!

Hope that makes sense...

And of course I have to mention that your motley rocks, love the outlined pattern on him.
