Help with rack ideas?

Paco84 Dec 11, 2008 02:30 AM

I'm looking to build my own rack, and I need some ideas. I was wondering what size flexwatt to use? I want to heat the boxes to about 85 or so. I'm not sure of box size yet, but I will be housing young boas, and adult balls mostly. How do I connect the flexwatt to a thermostat? Can I hook it up to a timer for night temps? What is aluminum tape used for? Thanks for the help.

To make it short, try looking in the classifieds. Several of the vendors that sell Flexwatt give detailed instructions on installation.

honestly, i would not use anything bigger than 4 inch for belly heat. if you are wanting back heat go with 11 inch. if you are not sure of how to wire the heat tape to a thermostat, you can do the easy thing and just get yourself a rheostat, it just plugs right in and is easy for a beginner to use. make sure to check the actual temp of the heat tape, not just in the tubs. the aluminum tape not only hodes it down it also helps a tiny bit with adding aditional heat.
