howdy, as I wake up from my absence...

just curious as to everyone's take on the economy and how it is affecting your hobby? are people buying more at good prices looking toward the future? buying less? are breeders holding back or letting go? just looking to get a pulse on what people are thinking.

peace

Pits are nice but.............

there are pros and cons to each scale...
I had HO scale trains (kings) for a while. Love the look and all but I'm in a stage where I'm not so keen on the "small parts" that go with it (hatchlings, pinkies, shoe boxes). With the O scale setup I have now (pits and drys) the fuss factor is greatly reduced. Feed. clean. Handle. observe. enjoy. I hate fuss factors. I always liked the super small kings (moles and scarlets) milks and mountain kings, but try as I might I could never adapt well enough to meet their needs, and didn't do well with them.

So the short answer is 'no', hahaha. Just curious how the rest of the world is planning/working/dealing with their collection while the economy is not so special.

I set a goal for spending on the hobby, or should I say, a goal for not spending much. But I did need a few new cages.

I scoured the classifieds for some new cages and found two great deals. Looks like some mfgrs are trying to get some business in these times, and I jumped on them. I guess I spend much more carefully now.

This is probably a good time for folks willing to sell at reduced prices. I know I cannot resist the deal.
