I want to plant some edible plants that would add some shade, ground cover, and color to my outdoor Cyclura enclosures. Would it be worth it or would the animals do too much damage to plants to maintain sustainability? Here is my short list of what to plant;
Hibiscus tiliaceus
Opuntia ficus
Cocoloba uvifera
I am a little concerned about the Hibiscus variety since it is known to attract ants (dangerous in South FL). Has anyone had any experience with this? Are there any other plants I should consider? Thanks.
