working on my camera skills

mike_panic Dec 13, 2008 11:28 AM

I am trying to wean myself from my point and shoot and stick with my SLR(rebel XTI) that I spent a load of money on. I have no idea how to use it properly and I am trying to get myself off of auto mode. The point and shoot was perfect because size wise, the photos were ready to post up but I know that with the Rebel, I can take better pics once I know what the heck I'm doing. With the SLR I have to bring them into photo bucket, resize them, re save them and get them into an ad or to the forums. That leaves more questions for me, crop now then send the to photo bucket, crop later in photo bucket? Anyway here are some pics I took not in auto mode. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Mike Panichi

I'm certainly no photographer. I am in fact a point and shoot boa picture taker,LOL.
Heck I can't even figure out my non Auto options in my Canon A560 Power Shot.
I do know you must be getting the hang of your camera because these pictures certainly are not bad, pretty good in my opinion.
Those Sunglows are gorgeous! That Paradox that appears more Hypo than Albino sure is a strange and beautiful Boa.
What are your latest thoughts on that Boa Mike?
