mucus from nostrils

hi everyone,i have recently bought a baby sav.monitor(approx.10 weeks old).it seems to have an off-white mucus clogging up its nostrils which seems to be causing it to rub the sides of its head against rocks etc all the time.has anyone else ever had this problem & can anyone please advise me on it,any help is much appreciated.....thanks

The symptom sounds like an URI(upper respiratory infection). In the interim, you should try to elevate the ambient temperature to the upper limit of the monitor's natural range. You should have a qualified reptile vet diagnose & resolve the problem as soon as possible. Goodluck.
