Smoothie Strips

oregonsnakes Dec 13, 2008 10:24 PM

The recessive smoothie may not be recessive. Several of my dragons have strips of reduced scales that run down the sides of their backs. Is this a visual het? Is it a different line of co-dominate smoothies where the suppers are a leather back looking animal? I am hatching out some eggs as I write this that will answer that question.

The recessive smoothies have never been as smooth as the co-dominate morph. (with the exception of a couple of dragons) Last year Josh paired up some recessive dragons producing the smoothie in the last photo.

Photos below show reduced scale strips.

I think there is something going on with the strips of reduced scales. Has anyone crossed two of these together?
