What is this on my corn's head?

Jonah Sep 08, 2003 09:35 PM

About a year ago my 02 corn had a similar looking mark on it's head after what appeared to be a scrape from trying to squeeze between the cage glass and hide log. I say scrape because I saw her with her head stuck and after there looked to be a scab there. After several sheds the spot faded but the coloration and pattern never came back completely. Recently( a year after the first episide) the spot started to look worse again. It almost looks like a loss of pigment in the scales of the area. These pics were taken the day after a shed. It almost looks worse after the shed. There also seems to be a slight indentation like a pin hole at the part closest to the front of the snake. Any ideas?

I don't know what it's from but I have a motley with the exact same kind of spot on his head. It was like that ever since I got him.

How long have you had your snake?

He was born in `02 and I've had him for about seven months now. I don't think the mark is from an injury. It looks like something he was born with. It looks almost identical to the spot on your snake and it's in pretty much the same spot.
