Hey Everyone,
I am about to purchase my first cornsnake and was wondering who you all recommend. I definitely want either a Sunglow Motley or a Bloodred. What about South Mountain Reptiles? Have any of you bought from them before? Any comments are appreciated.

I really liked working with Don - he's a terrific guy.

I've never done business with Kathy Love - but obviously, she has a great rep.

There is another good breeder out there too, who's name I can't mention, who has nice bloodreds, too, if I remember correctly. He's on the internet too, so you can find him.

Good luck and have fun. I raise mainly geckos - but I'm getting more and more into corns myself. The variety of colors are addicting.

Don at south mountian reptiles is top notch and a class act, i got a really red reverse oakatee from him this year that is outstanding. And not to mention Kathy love who replied is another breeder you cant go wrong with. Good luck,scott

Don Soderberg, Frank Pinello, Rich Zuchowski (aka bleep), and Kathy Love would all be good choices to get your cornsnakes from. If you live in Oregon, Clint Boyer would be another one, but he doesn't ship.

Of the group, I've heard the best bloodreds come from Don. I've not yet had a chance to raise one up and see for myself (just got a hatchling), but Don's a great guy and is extremely helpful. Frank's up there too... one of my friends had a bloodred from him, and she was a killer bloodred too. But everyone I listed is a good choice to buy from in general.

I have purchased a bloodred and a motley sunglow from SMR. I highly recommend it! Don is a pleasure to work with and his snakes are very nice.
