I just got a Spectacled x yacare caiman at the hamburg show and he is pretty calm showing no aggression. I was just wondering if anyone else has had one for a few years and how their temperment is.

Just like any other croc little man eaters.The meaner the better NO K9 BLOOD IN THOSE GUYS UNLESS THEY JUST ATE IT.LOL.

How long have you had yours and did you associate yourself with food? did you handle your caiman daily? Thanks for the response

I have had a pure spectacled for a little over a year now and he is not agressive he is defensive he only comes after you if he is cornered...

my hybrid is more aggressive than my pure spec. I have had it for about three years. I honestly don't think there is any way a croc can not associate you with food. Even if you have an automatic feeder it will figure out the relationship the minute you go near the machine to refill it.
