SWEEEEET Vinny! That's awesome! Must be nice to showcase one of your awesome snakes on the cover of a journal. Is there an article in there about sinaloae or triangulum in general?

Hey Dave!

Yeah I was pretty stoked.

The article is about how genes that are used during the development of limbs in embryos evolve when there are no more limbs. So we compared one of these genes between animals with limbs and without limbs (including milksnakes) and found that you can predict weather an animals has limbs or not based on the sequence of the gene. Basically, the parts of the gene that are important for limb development evolve away when animals loose limbs.

By the way, I that Cosala with the bright red head is awesome. You should line breed for that, you can call them redheads. And who doesnt like a nice fiery red head?

Cheers!
Vinny

...I've just gotta say I've always been a fan of your Sinaloans. Absolutely beautiful snakes. And Dave, I think Vinny's right about the redhead; that would be sweet!

Also, Dave, I'm going to try my luck again this year with that nice Pueblan female I got from you about 2 1/2 years ago. I finally got a male hypo to go with her so I can produce some hets. She's a great snake and has calmed down a bit, too. I used her in a reptile presentation at my wife's school last year. The kids loved her...probably because she pooped all over me.

Here's a pic of her the day she arrived.
