My Dekayi collection has been eating pinky parts

All it took was to rub the pinky bits on a big garden slug for scent, and they went for it straight away.

Wayne, That is really interesting! How do you get a ringneck to eat pinkies?I've seen pics but,what are they scented with? Jeff

Never tried to even keep a ring neck, I imagine garter musk would do the trick, or Steroria (red belly/dekayi) scenting.

great job Wayne, i bet that will be best for their health overall and in the long run, i wonder if they will produce more,and bigger, healthier offspring as a result?

I have a few control subjects that will not be eating pinky parts, and a small handful that will receive only pinky parts.

So far the feces has changed from a puddle of black goo to a more white powder appearance similar to Garter feces from rodent fed snakes.

The growth rate has already been noticeable, a couple little runts that refused to grow at all are putting on some mass.

Overall, I think it's a good thing.
