Parasites??????

i have a WC black rat i got as a very very young baby. It has been eating fine its feces look OK. He look as though he has lost a little weight. In theyear I have had him he has not exhibited any symptoms. Does anyone know about parasites and how to get rid of em and do ya think he has em????

If you think it might have parasites you can get a fresh stool sample to have checked. If you have a reptile vet in your area, most will let you bring in a sample and will test it for parasites but you often would need to bring it in to be weighed at least before they would treat it.
Home treatment without knowing exactly what you are treating for and how to treat it is risky unless you really know what your doing.
