has anybody seen?

ryned04 Dec 18, 2008 02:48 AM

I know i'm probably a little behind the times, but i recently saw photos of the killer blast, kingspin, enchinferno, purple passion, red spectrum, and some other crazy combos and i was blown away! I guess i didn't really consider all the possibilities that are out there. Has anybody seen a price tag on some of these morphs? Does anybody think they will be readily available in the near future? Is anybody planning on making any of these or other mind blowing snakes?

I saw an add in the Classifieds for a Kingpin at $4500.00. I would imagine Killer Blast would be relatively the same since Lemon Blasts are around $1500.00. The Enchiferno and the Purple Passion I'm pretty sure still have a price tag labeled "your soul." And I'm not sure about the Red Spectrum.

lol "your soul" that was funny. i leterally laughed out loud on that one. its funny cause i heard the first Ivory that came out in 05 (i think) was like $100K, now there down to about $1500 or so. Give all these morphs about 5-10yrs and everyone will have one or they'll be cheap enough to buy.

Everyone has a "project" in line. Everyone is trying to top someone's morph. You have to look past at what everyone is making and make something ridiculous yourself. ::i've got my own:: lol

LoL, I'm not kidding though!! At the Daytona Reptile Expo last year (2007) NERD literally tagged a lot of his secret morphs as "$$your soul$$," and the Inferno and Angel of Death were among them.

I can't find the Inferno pic, I've got to go to work, but real quick, here is a shot of the "Angel of Death," which I'm pretty sure has Enchi in it:::

i just hope more people produce these combos so we can eventually see a realistic price. Does anybody know what was in the red spectrum? It looked like a kingpin combo.

WinstonHS Dec 18, 2008 04:03 PM

I dont even know what the angle of death and the red spectrum are. What are they?

illbeyoursoldier Dec 18, 2008 09:21 PM

No one knows. That's the beauty of it. It's one of the "Evil Morph God's" concoctions. Well, the Angel of Death and the Inferno are. I'm not sure who made the Red Spectrum (sorry to that person, no offense). I've only seen pictures, no discussion on it.

Look at the on-going trend and wait a few years. They will sell for a couple hundred bucks.

Perhaps...but sold by whom?...and how many will they have produced for sale by then?

My point is...buy when you are ready to...but don't think the guy that bought in 2,3,or even 5 years ago isn't reaping rewards or hasn't already for that matter....Prices are set by the market for the market..and the more rare/exotic something is the more it WILL cost.

exactly. If more people produce them, the price will go down. But I guess i'm the only one that sees that as a good thing. Besides, there will always be something new and rare that demands an outrageously high price. Then more are produced, and a realistic price tag appears. I can't wait for the day that super phantoms are affordable. But at the same time, i'm sure it will be years and years before that is the case. This hobby will be around for a long, long time. Im not trying to start another debate about this. Just my two cents.

In tough economic times like these, the market for non-discretionary purchases falls, sometimes dramatically. Ball python morphs are still just ball pythons, are they not? They are pets. When money gets tight and more people lose jobs, the market for these exotic morphs may crash. There really is nothing comparable to what is happening to the US (and world) economy within the past (at least) 40 years. The "snake market" has never experienced economic times like these. The trend you see now, with prices falling rapidly, will accelerate. Remember the fairy tale called "The Emperor's New Clothes"? Ultimately, the townspeople admitted that the emperor was naked. Ultimately the market will realize that a ball python, by whatever name, is still a ball python, and price it accordingly.
