another speckled question

ch23119 Dec 18, 2008 11:29 PM

I began to cool my female this week after her behavior and lack of appetite led me to believe she wants to brumate. She hasn't ate for two weeks, had the last defecation and is now curled up in the cage. I have moved the temps slowly down from 80 to now 65. However checking her tonight her eyes are blue. Should I let her shed? Or should I continue lowering temps to the recommended 50-55? I have never cooled a snake down so I don't want to screw anything up. thanks for any advice

i would continue to cool her down. ive had many shed during brumation with no problems. undisturbed darkness is really more impt. than trying to acheive a set temp. imho
good luck,,,,,,,,,thomas davis
