if you have a real bad eater, that say gets 6months plus behind its siblings size wise. WIll it ever make it to the same size, given enough time? especially females, will they ever be able to become breeders?

cheers

Dave,
..Yes and no. Yes, many picky eaters will eventually get big enough to breed but they will be a year or sometime two years later than siblings before getting there. They also often never get real big and so do not produce big litters. There are also a small percentage that never thrive and die at an early age.

Like Jeff already said, they can go either way. All you can do is try to listen to the individual. With good cafre and working wih them, you can turn them into normal size breeders. My Amber is one example. She never wanted anything "normal" sized, alwys wanted smaller prey. Also would not eat rats but working with her I did get her onto rats and once I did, she took off. Took her an extra year tpo catch up but is now ready to breed.

Really bad ones will likely not survive or even if they do likely not to be good breeders.

cheers for the reponses guys. Reason asked, was that i have 2 females, that i have eating now reguarly, but yeah are a long way behind size wise. Im looking at selling a few males, and maybe possibly some females. I know how many snakes i have room for, and with approx 10 more coming from a few different countries over the next few months, i have to make sure i have room for everyone.
Cheers
