Disclaimer: I am not an expert on carpets.

That said, my first question for you is this: what was she eating before you got her? If the previous owner was feeding her mice, she may well have developed a strong preference for them, which could cause her to refuse rats & rabbits. If she was eating rats before you got her, then I bow to the expertise of those who will post after me, cause I've got no other theories at this point...

thanks a lot~it does make sense...
the previous owner says he used to feed her labrats but last time when i fed her she didn't response, neither does my ball python. my ball can take any rodent that i give to her...is it because the season?
here is winter now...

or because both of them are adults, last time i heared that adults pythons normally they will fast

If it's a male, then they aren't thinking of food...just sex. It's that time. Plus new caging....I wouldn't worry at this point, but IJs are often hard to switch from mice to rats. In your case, it's probably just the time of the year.

hum...so when should i feed her again? in next spring?

If you just got her in the last two weeks it may still be stress from the move. If it is a male it could be too busy looking for a mate. Either way it won't hurt it to go without food for a couple of weeks. Give it another week or two and try again.
