Calling all Marcia's...calling all Marcia's...LOL

Scott_Sullivan Sep 09, 2003 01:18 AM

Hello, I hope you are still coming here and see the forums getting back to normal. Basically I decided to start this thread to possibly make you re-think your decision to no longer post here. I'm sure I am not the only person that would like to see you come back. While we may not see eye to eye on some subjects, the most important subject, our love of burms is the most important thing and the reason I continue to come back here (and the reason I'd like to see you come back.) I've always enjoyed your posts and have learned a great deal from them. Unfortunately I don't post that much because most of my questions are answered just by reading these forums. In closing, I'd like to basically say that we miss your insightful posts and would like to see you come back as a regular poster again. Maybe you'll reconsider? Take care, Scott Sullivan.

P.S. If any of this doesn't make sense, please forgive me. It's 2 a.m. here in Massachusetts and I have to wake up in 4 hours to bring my daughter to school. It's time for beddy-bye.....goodnight

You have got to come back Marce,.... It's picking up again and a lot of the regulars are here. No more bs. Besides, I can't believe you would let one little thing bother you so much that you would take off like this. It isn't like you. So come back, okay? We are like a vehicle lacking the fourth tire here.

I have stayed away and it's been hard but it has been the right decision for me. A private e-mail brought me back to read this particular message. I'm not ready to return to kingsnake forums. I find that ks and I have parted ways, and that will take some time to think through. It didn't happen all at once but in the past couple of years there have been several times where I have seriously questioned the amount of time I spend here and the depletion of energy that goes along with the expenditure at times. I'm sure many of you who have devoted time to the fellowship and information-sharing here can relate to this. I have a strong emotional attachment to many members -some seemingly unexplainable ones like to Poosphere for instance : )- and not hearing from you is the worst part of my self-imposed exile. Today has been the first day I have an actual break also since I have been very busy with family (and things like Disney, barbecues, and football games)but I started a yahoogroup to help fill up my Burmese loneliness. I don't want to violate the tos so I won't advertise it here. All are welcome, even the testosterone-ladened art lovers... Scott : ) Otherwise, I miss you guys, but I'm not ready to return. Thank you for thinking of me- you've really lifted my spirits.

While I'm sad to hear you will continue to stay away, I certainly understand. There are definatley things at times that drive me crazy (the TOS being one.) Thank you for stopping bye though. It was definately good to hear from you and know your well. Heck, between family, cookouts, Disney and football, it sounds like your having fun. Just don't forget that you have an extended family here that would still like to hear from your. Take care, (from your testosterone laden friend), Scott.

I understand completely Marcia. But do try to pop in every once in a while to post a little something so that we know you're doing okay, alright? In the meantime, we won't ever forget you. Take care.

That was my impression of the little blonde girl from Poltergeist (I think that's where that line came from.) Where you been Poo? We've missed you. Good to see your still around, Scott.

Actually, her catch phrase in that movie was "they're here". In any case, thanks for the nice reception. Now who are you guys and what have you done with the real Scott and Brian! LOL. Just kidding. I may not post often, but I'm always watching. Besides, I have to watch my Ps and Qs. I'm running out of user names.

Scott_Sullivan Sep 09, 2003 06:52 PM

I've never been much of a movie person. Of course I go and quote a movie and screw it up . Take care, Scott.
