quick question!

angrybunnyaudio Sep 09, 2003 01:37 AM

i know crickets are supposed to be staple diet, and meal worms are a treat, but the worms are so much easier to feed. I don't freak my cham out as much when i toss in a worm and he eats them up. Is it that important to feed crickets more often than worms? right now he is averaging two crickets and one worm a day.

Actually, meal worms are not that nutritious and they contain more hard-to-digest stuff than crickets. A well gut-loaded cricket will provide so much more than a meal worm - any day.

However... superworms are a better food than the "meal worm".
Butterworms are high in calcium - but fatty. Silkworms are the best nutition with little effort.... try those!

thats really all i can get him to eat. when i go in to feed him, he runs. If he is hungry he will see the food imediatly and scarf it down, but after that, he is no longer interested. he is young, so i think he is still scared of me. any tips on getting him to be more friendly. also what can i do to feed him more?
