Comments and a question for you good TX

Since this ROW law has come into being, it seems this particular forum has been diluted dramatically. I miss reading the field observations, anecdotes, specimens, and hunt information that was blended very nicely with husbandry, breeding, and general information.
.
Since this law has come into being, I’ve spent the money of at least three photo herp trips of hotels, gasoline, restaurant, and more, elsewhere other than Texas (AZ, NM, and LA).
.
Here’s the question:
Did anyone ever find out what really motivated this politician to unethically sneak this in to begin with?
Was it up front or just a veiled ulterior transaction?
In other words, was it:
· a misguided PITA thing?
· the $$$$ he thought he could direct to ranchers like the exotic hunts? ($$$$ should always be probably the first question with politicians.)
· just to keep people from being on rancher’s doorsteps at night with lights?
· an agenda for some TP&W person who disagreed with the reasonable collection laws TP&W had in place?
· an agenda for homeland security because we were “cluttering up” the border area night activity?
· Other?

This forum is at its slowest this time of year regardless of the new laws. I wish I knew the motives behind the new laws . It seems to me it is just another case of government abuse of power over a small interest group.

it will have no impact on me what so ever, nor will it slow down my field herping in any way shape or form. i spend alot of time on private land as it is, and when i am on ROW's its far from the more 'popular' places to go.
