I got engaged.

nickstone Dec 21, 2008 12:32 PM

So, a while back I decided that it was finally time to ask my girlfriend to marry me after 3 years. So I shopped all over and found the perfect ring. I needed someplace safe to hide it where she would never look and find it, and I could also easily remember where I hid it. I decided on a boa tub. :D

I was having trouble trying to figure out a cool way to ask her, and couldn't decide if I should wait until Christmas or not. Well, the other day I crashed my car in the snow. She was a little upset so I decided to cheer her up, I would give her the ring and ask her when I got home. I couldn't really think up anything other than trying to convince her to look inside the tub.

Well after she looked inside this is what she saw. She got it out, opened it, and I asked her. She didn't say anything for a few seconds and I asked her again. (I was starting to get a little worried ) She said yes, of course she was just in shock and not expecting to find an engagement ring in a tub with a peruvian. Maybe not the most romantic way to ask, but if you can involve boas in asking a girl to marry you and she still says yes, she's probably a keeper for sure.

If you can convince a girl to marry you and there are boas involved, she's a keeper! err.. holdback!

Congrats again and I wish you the best for your future together!

Congrats Hoss!

Nothing in life, beats having a true partner to share it with!

May you Be Blessed in all of your further adventures together.

I would take absolutely NOTHING for my wife.

She was the greatest thing to ever happen to me as I am sure yours will be too you!

"I would take absolutely NOTHING for my wife."

Most men would give their wives away too, John!

But, you'd GIVE her away? At least take SOMETHING for her man. A rack of ribs... bbq sandwich... You deserve something otherwise it's NOT an exchange!

lol

I'm TOTALLY razzin you man. I know you have a good sense of humor so I thought I'd make you laugh.

Have a good one man!

Congrats.

Now you just need to get to work on the photo shop so you can incorporate reptiles into your decorations. Our goodie bags for our wedding had tea light candles that I wrapped a label on with a pair of blue iguanas with their tail making a heart.
