NEW FARM PICS OF OUTDOOR

TOM_CRUTCHFIELD Dec 21, 2008 03:31 PM

snake enclosures. Here's a few pics of our new farm outdoor snake cages. All of this is an experiment but so far so good. Each enclosure is about 6' x 4' x 5'. Only time will tell as no one has done this yet but I'll keep you updated.....TC

Hi Tom... What do you use to keep the snakes from rubbing their noses? Is that screening, or isn't there a problem?

It's been 3 months with 4 species and thus far there is NO problem. Like I said no one has done it year round but I realy think it's going to work and work well. Only time will tell.....TC

Two questions, Tom.

First, what species are you keeping in those cages? Second, since you've got so much height, why not put a few climbing branches in, or can I just not see them in the pics?

Hi Vinnie, right now I have various West Indian Boas, Diamond Pythons, and Peruvian Redtails. I do have trees in some but it depends on the species. Merry Christmas.....TC

Any plans to try green tree pythons or emeralds outside? I'd like to do the green tree monitors outside in the near future!
